TARS was started in 2014 by CEO Johnny K. Telos. After over 25 years in the transportation industry, the last 15 as an Account Executive for FedEx, Johnny saw many companies losing money for two main reasons.
One was companies not being able to track and monitor their bills closely enough, therefore letting valuable service refunds and credits go unclaimed. Two, companies languishing in bad agreements that had not been looked at for in some cases years. Johnny decided to start TARS to make sure that if you shipped UPS or FedEX, you were going to hold them accountable to their service obligations as well as not letting them get away with unjust accessorial charges, and two, to make sure your company had the most competitive pricing possible. TARS has seen unbelievable growth in its first three years putting 25 million dollars plus in transportation spend under audit and negotiating over 50 million dollars worth of transportation spend, savings clients millions of dollars in these combined charges.
